BLACK MARLIN KILLS TOURIST IN INDONESIA

A 39 year old woman was attacked while snorkeling at Tanjung Karang Beach in Donggala, Central Sulawesi.

 

 

The victim was snorkeling in shallow waters when she was surprised by the fish, that attacked her with its sharp bill. She was immediately removed from the water, but died in the hospital. According to eye witnesses the black marlin was ‘the size of a man’s arm’.  Black Marlins can reach up to 500kg and are as fast as 120 km/h, and there are records several attacks on humans.
